In cooperation with the stem cell bank of the department for transfusion medicine and haemostaseologic of the University Hospital Erlangen, eticur) offers you the possibility to enter the typification data of the umbilical cord blood stem cells of your child in the register of the stem cell bank of the University Hospital Erlangen. 

If a patient with similar tissue characteristics would need the cell material, the parents have to weeks to decide whether they want to donate the stem cells or not. When the parents decide to continue the private storage, we guarantee to not touch the material. The storage for the child is then continued.   

If the parents decide to donate the cell material, they will be paid all accrued costs including interest for the period of storage. The listing in the register can be deleted by the parents or the grown-up child in written form at any time.
